Book gift from the House of Russian Abroad to the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University
On November 29, 2022, an event was held in Bishkek to donate 300 new books brought as part of the book program of the House of Russian Abroad named after. A. Solzhenitsyn. This is not the first time that Dom has come to Kyrgyzstan on this important and honorable mission. In 2007 and 2009, the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University already received books as a gift from the DRZ. And now new publications have joined the library of the Russian Language Institute, created at the university two years ago. Literature dedicated to Russian abroad was donated – works of emigrant writers, memoirs, memoirs, diaries, biographies, publications of scientific and popular research on this topic; The basis of this part of the collection was the books of the publishing house «Russian Way». The institute’s library also received books from modern Russian humanitarian publishing houses – classical and modern Russian literature, books on the history and culture of Russia, dictionaries and manuals on the Russian language.
The event was attended by Svetlana Romanova, a specialist in the department of interregional and international cooperation of the House of Russian Abroad, and also, since the project in Kyrgyzstan is being implemented within the framework of an agreement between the DRZ and the State Institute of Russian Language named after. A.S. Pushkin, delegation from the institute – chief researcher at the laboratory of philological research, Doctor of Philology Elmira Afanasyeva and leading specialist of the department for coordinating scientific activities Anastasia Antipina.
