Kyrgyzstan is expanding partnerships with leading Russian universities

Russia remains Kyrgyzstan's main educational partner. According to the Republic's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, more than 20,000 Kyrgyz students study abroad, and most of them choose Russian universities. In the 2024/2025 academic year, Moscow allocated 700 quota places, and in total about 14 thousand students from Kyrgyzstan study in Russia.

How writes portal «State News», interest in Russian education is growing. Thanks to the national project «Science and Education», universities are becoming centers of development, and science is once again attracting young people. These opportunities are also open to Kyrgyz students who can enroll in the country's leading universities. The average cost of studying at Russian universities is $3,000 per year, which is significantly lower than in the USA ($29,500) or Great Britain ($21,000).
