During the Great Patriotic War, the Odessa Pilot School was relocated to Soviet Kyrgyzstan. Everything in our country contributed to graduates becoming truly serious specialists: training here could take place in the conditions of the plains and in the conditions of the mountains; in addition, Kyrgyzstan had a deep rear. Later, the Odessa Pilot School transformed into the Fifth Central Course for the Training and Improvement of Aviation Personnel, which brought together students from more than 50 countries.
