A presentation of the documentary monograph «Russian language in Kyrgyzstan: milestones of the past» by the deputy director of the Institute of Russian Language of KRSU, Doctor of Historical Sciences Olga Sumarokova took place at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.
This work is timed by the author to coincide with the Year of the Russian Language declared in the CIS and the 30th anniversary of the university itself and sums up the results of the author’s many years of fruitful research in the history of the promotion of the Russian language and education in it on the territory of modern Kyrgyzstan in the pre-revolutionary period. The Russian language and the history of its promotion not only in Kyrgyzstan, but throughout Central Asia are extremely politicized.
And so the key task of the researcher was to present this story as much as possible
objective. The published monograph became, as it were, a continuation of books written and published by O. Sumarokova together with Candidate of Political Sciences L. Sumarokov about the wonderful and wise Eurasian creators «Ch. Aitmatov. Human. Universe», «Eurasian Chronicles of N. Przhevalsky», «K. Yudakhin. Uniting Central Asia with the word» and «E. Polivanov. Unfinished linguistic symphony».
