At the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after the first President of the Russian Federation B.N. Yeltsin (KRSU) held a presentation of the documentary-biographical monograph of Leonid and Olga Sumarokov «E.D. Polivanov. An unfinished linguistic symphony». The publication of the book aroused genuine interest in the scientific community. The first reason is – the name of the person whose phenomenon scientists have revealed. Second – relevance of the topic of the role of the individual in the process of creation in the Eurasian space.
The published book about the Russian and Soviet linguist Evgeniy Dmitrievich Polivanov is part of the book series «Eurasian Creators». The series is dedicated to outstanding figures of science and culture, whose creative work and creativity served for the benefit of the integration and development of Eurasia. «In the context of the modern rethinking of the idea of Eurasianism, – notes the scientific editor of the book, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan Vladimir Nifadiev, – the disclosure of the actions of outstanding personalities is of strategic importance for the development of political, economic and cultural relations between the countries of the Eurasian continent».
