In besieged Leningrad, poems by Kyrgyz akyns were heard
In the material "Leningrad History of Soviet Kyrgyzstan", published in "RG - Week" on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the breaking of the blockade, we, together with the adviser to the rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU) on issues of historical and cultural heritage, candidate of historical sciences Leonid Sumarokov, began a conversation about the invaluable contribution of the residents of the republic to the liberation of the city on the Neva. But, as our interlocutor noted, this important topic has not yet been sufficiently studied and promises many more interesting discoveries.
