BISHKEK, April 3 — Sputnik. Rosatom is helping Kyrgyzstan revive nuclear medicine. This was announced by the General Director of Rosatom Kyrgyzstan Dmitry Konstantinov at the educational seminar "Nuclear Medicine: Trends and Advantages, Status and Development Plans in Kyrgyzstan" at KRSU.

At the event, it is planned to sign a memorandum of cooperation between the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University and the National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU). This is necessary for the development of engineering and medical education in Kyrgyzstan, in order to open up new opportunities for future specialists for academic mobility and research in the field of nuclear technology. A master's degree in nuclear medicine (medical physics) will be opened on the basis of KRSU; the first enrollment will take place in September 2025.
