Students of Kyrgyzstan: «We – descendants of the Winners!»
Information resource «Eurasians — new wave». On November 22, an interuniversity quiz took place in Bishkek «Your feat is immortal! In memory of the heroes of the defense of Moscow in 1941». The event was attended by students from leading universities in Kyrgyzstan and cadets of the military-patriotic club «Altair».
The organizer of the quiz was the Foundation «Eurasians – New Wave», partners – KSU named after I. Arabaev and the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The event was held in the format of the famous television show «Own Game», where each team representing a particular university had to be given the maximum number of correct answers to questions on the history of the defense of Moscow in the fall-winter of 1941.
The highlight of the event was the military song competition – having guessed the composition, the participants happily sang it in chorus. The sounds «Katyusha», «Smuglyanka», «Victory Day», «At an unnamed height» and many other songs of the war, according to the participants, immersed us in the atmosphere of the distant 1940s.
– Surprisingly, today we were able to experience the energy of songs well known to us since childhood. While performing them, it was as if we ourselves felt either the pain of war, or suddenly we were overwhelmed with a feeling of joy and pride for the Victory, – students of the Kyrgyz National University named after Zh. Balasagyn shared at the end of the competition.
Historians, veterans of the armed forces and representatives of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Kyrgyz Republic assessed the knowledge of students of higher educational institutions.
Based on the results of three rounds of the quiz, the team of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University was recognized as the best. Second place was taken by students of the Kyrgyz State University named after I. Arabaeva. Third, place of honor went to the team of the Kyrgyz National University named after Zh. Balasagyn – last year’s winners of a similar quiz.
–The questions were drafted in a very interesting way, in order to answer them correctly we had to focus on the details. Usually, when studying history, we learn the main dates, but behind them – in the shadows, no less important events, numbers and people remain. Today, for example, we learned about the Red Army soldiers who showed unprecedented courage and heroism during the battle for Moscow. Unfortunately, practically nothing is written about them in history textbooks," emphasized Beksultan Esengeldi uulu, a student at the Zh. Balasagyn National University.
Student of KSU named after I. Arabaev Kylymbek Kenzheev called on young people to study history.
–In modern times, attempts to falsify history are not uncommon. But this cannot be allowed. We – descendants of the winners! And such events do not allow us to forget about this.
KRSU team member Valery Skripnikov said that the event was organized at the highest level.
– The quiz was not only competitive, but also educational in nature. We learned a lot of new things. Thanks for the interesting format. We will be glad to continue to take part in such competitions.
All participants in the interuniversity quiz were rewarded with memorable gifts, as well as diplomas and certificates.
