TV channel «Greater Asia» prepared a report on awarding the winners of the competition for the best media coverage of the university’s scientific activities in the field of altaistics and Turkology «Media-Nauruz». The competition was held for the first time this year as part of the Altai State University «Turkic World of Greater Altai: unity and diversity in history and modernity» project. The winners were press service employees and journalists from Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
The jury determined three winners: the first place was won by the press service of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. B. Yeltsin for material «Unfinished linguistic symphony by Evgeny Polivanov». Second place was taken by the press service of the Kazakh National University. Al-Farabi for the material «Jambyl Anniversary – a general holiday for the Turkic peoples», in third place was the editorial office of the newspaper «For Science» of Altai State University for the material «It all started with Genghis Khan». The special prize of the project manager «Turkic World of Greater Altai», President of Altai State University Sergei Zemlyukov was received by the press service of the East Kazakhstan Technical University.
