At the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after. B.N. Yeltsin (KRSU) held a solemn event dedicated to International Russian Language Day, the university management told the publication «Kundemi».
«The date chosen is symbolic – it was on this day that the great Russian poet was born, who is the founder of the modern Russian language and a symbol of his era – Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin», – the KRSU statement says.
In honor of the holiday, a flower-laying ceremony took place at the monument to Alexander Pushkin in front of the main building of the KRSU, and a festive concert was also held.
