The first International Historical School abroad was held in Kyrgyzstan
How to prevent falsification of history and preserve the memory common to Russia and the CIS? Participants in a unique project for Kyrgyzstan tried to answer this question in Bishkek. The Republic hosted the International Historical School (IIS) on its territory for the first time – an event designed to bring together young researchers and educators from different countries. Previously, MIS was carried out only within Russia.
The school, held at the site of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU), brought together undergraduate and graduate students from several dozen higher educational institutions in countries near and far abroad. Participants were selected based on the results of the competition. Applicants sent motivational letters to the organizers, which were carefully read by a professional jury.
The work of the School covered several thematic areas, the main one of which was the fight against rewriting history.
