Bishkek, 08/16/23./Saber/. In Bishkek, at the historical and archaeological museum of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, a unique collection of artifacts dedicated to Archaeologist's Day was presented, the university's press service reported.

The museum's storage facility contains more than 2 thousand exhibits. The collection reflects the stages of ancient and medieval history of Kyrgyzstan. Some items are unique and have no analogues in other museums.

«The settlements under the waters of our «pearl» Issyk-Kul have been known for a very long time, but scientists began serious research only in the 30s of the last century. It has already been proven that Issyk-Kul «hides» the so-called Tamerlane Tower, in which, according to legend, he hid his beloved younger wife. Every little detail is important in the search for historical truth. Extracted from the depths of millennia, it can significantly change the established understanding of human history, its origin and development» director of the KRSU Museum Vasily Ploskikh said.
