KRSU and RUDN University: new areas of cooperation in the field of Russian language and bilingual education
A work program was held between representatives of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU) and the Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN), dedicated to the development of scientific and methodological cooperation in the field of teaching the Russian language, bilingual education and academic writing.
KRSU was represented by Aigerim Ernisova, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Cultural and Educational Center of the Russian Language of the Higher School of Russian Language and Bilingual Education.
A joint educational and methodological seminar was held at the Institute of Russian Language of RUDN University «Textbook on the Russian language as a tool for the formation of a bilingual linguistic personality». The moderator was Aigerim Ernisova, the key speaker was Doctor of Philology, Professor, Scientific Director of the Higher School of Russian Language and Bilingual Education Mamed Tagaev.
Participants discussed modern approaches to the development of educational and methodological complexes, features of creating educational texts for bilinguals, overcoming interlingual interference and diagnosing language difficulties. Special attention was paid to the joint project of RUDN University and KRSU to create textbooks for schools in Kyrgyzstan. E.A. also took part in the discussion. Shmeleva, M.N. Kunowski and A.E. A seminar on academic writing and scientific publication activities was also held. University representatives got acquainted with scientific journals «Russian test: theory and practice» RUDN University and «Russian word in Kyrgyzstan» KRSU. The focus was on the stages of preparing a scientific article - from research idea to publication, choice of research design, typical mistakes of authors, as well as the possibility of using artificial intelligence in preparing reviews, annotations and accompanying materials for scientific works. The key speakers were E.A. Shmeleva, M.N. Kunowski, A.E. Ernisova and N.V. Sorochaikina.
A practical continuation of the program was a working meeting on the implementation of the roadmap for cooperation between KRSU and RUDN University. The parties considered the prospects for joint publication activities in the journals «Russian Test: Theory and Practice» and «Russian Word in Kyrgyzstan», as well as organizational issues of conducting a pedagogical expedition to schools in the Kyrgyz Republic in 2026.
During the work program, modern textbooks and educational materials on the Russian language, effective educational practices, digital resources, language testing and features of teaching the Russian language in a multilingual environment were also discussed. Based on the results of the meetings, further directions of scientific and methodological interaction between the two universities were determined.
In addition, Aigerim Ernisova took part in the X International Congress of teachers and heads of preparatory faculties (departments) of universities of the Russian Federation «Pre-university stage of education in Russia and the world: language, adaptation, society, specialty». As part of a panel discussion «Russian language as the basis for educational dialogue between Russia and the CIS countries», she presented a report «Higher School of Russian Language and Bilingual Education KRSU as a scientific and methodological platform for teachers in Kyrgyzstan».
