First-year students of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University completed a practical lesson at the fire and rescue unit and the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic in Bishkek. The lesson was conducted by Colonel, senior lecturer of the Department of Emergency Situations Urmat Sariev.

Freshmen got acquainted with the work of fire and rescue units and the rules for using special equipment. During the practical part, they put on a fire uniform and performed exercises to climb the building and descend from the training tower using special equipment.

All exercises were carried out under the control and with direct insurance of the Ministry of Emergency Situations employees in compliance with safety requirements.

The lesson allowed students to gain their first skills in handling fire and rescue equipment and become familiar with the requirements of the profession - physical fitness, endurance and responsibility. The practical work complemented the theoretical training of future professionals in the field of emergency protection.
