At the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, meetings of first-year students with representatives of the Main Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, specializing in the fight against cybercrime, took place.

The main topic of the meetings was the prevention of cybercrimes and raising student awareness of modern digital threats.

In conditions where a significant part of the daily life of young people is connected with the Internet, social networks and online services, cybersecurity issues are of particular relevance. It’s important not only to be able to use digital technologies, but also to understand the risks associated with them, as well as to know how to protect yourself from the actions of attackers.

Stanislav Kulikov, KRSU Vice-Rector for Youth Policy and Educational Work, addressed the students. He stressed that cybercrime is becoming increasingly common, so young people need to be aware of possible threats and precautions. Such meetings help to develop a responsible attitude towards digital security and prevent situations in which students may become victims of fraud.

Meetings were held for first-year students of the institutes of clinical medicine and biomedical technologies, socio-humanitarian and polytechnic institutes, as well as students of the KRSU college.

Preventive measures are aimed at increasing the legal literacy of students and creating a culture of safe behavior in the digital environment.
