First selection of Russian language ambassadors in Kyrgyzstan

State Institute of Russian Language named after. A.S. Pushkina (Moscow) invites KRSU students to take part in the competitive selection for the International Volunteer Program «Ambassadors of the Russian Language to the World».

Volunteers of the program go on foreign expeditions, where, using gaming tools and interactive forms, they conduct classes and teach schoolchildren and students the Russian language, literature and regional studies of Russia, and, in turn, get acquainted with the traditions and customs of the host country.

Organizers ensure that volunteers have a full stay abroad, including transfers, accommodation, meals, life and health insurance, mobile phone service, branded uniforms and materials for workshops.

Uzbekistan, Turkey, Tajikistan, Vietnam, Moldova, China, Armenia, Peru, Ecuador, Azerbaijan, Croatia, Kyrgyzstan, Portugal... and this is only part of the countries where Russian language ambassadors managed to visit in 6 years. Before going on expeditions, participants undergo training in methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language, pedagogy, game technology and intercultural communication at the Pushkin Institute.

Requirements for candidates:

– student, postgraduate or young professional;

– age: 18-30 years;

– good command of Russian;

– love for Russian culture and literature;

– experience in voluntary and/or teaching activities;

– interest in discovering other cultures and traditions.

The in-person selection of volunteers will take place at KRSU from December 20 to 24, 2021, during which a specialist from the Pushkin Institute and current ambassadors of the Russian language will conduct a series of master classes and share their experience about past educational expeditions in foreign countries.
