Boris Yeltsin is 90 years old

february 1, 2021 – 90th anniversary of the birth of the First President of Russia Boris Yeltsin. On this day, the staff of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University remembered the statesman and politician, noting his enormous contribution to the creation of a university jointly subordinate to the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation. University management and staff laid flowers at the bronze bust of B.N. Yeltsin, located in the foyer of the main building.

 

In October 1995, B.N. Yeltsin was the first to be awarded the title of Honorary Doctor of the KRSU.

 

B.N. Yeltsin was the first to present personalized scholarships to the best students of the university, helped develop humanitarian cooperation, and contributed to the promotion of educational, social and cultural projects of the KRSU.

 

Created in 2000, the B.N. Foundation. Yeltsin pays special attention to the most promising students of KRSU (annual scholarship program).

 

In 2004, in recognition of Boris Nikolayevich Yeltsin's outstanding services in the development of Kyrgyz-Russian relations and his decisive contribution to the founding of KRSU, the university was named after the First President of Russia.
