«Battle of the Residents»

On June 4, within the walls of the NCTC, an Olympiad in cardiology was held with the participation of residents of the NCTC NOU and KRSU, dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the birth of Academician M. Mirrakhimov.

The judging of the Olympiad was entrusted to professors and experienced clinicians: director of the NCTC, professor Talantbek Sooronbaev, head of the department of the AMI NCTC, professor Tolkun Murataliev, deputy chief physician of the MC «URFA», Ph.D. Uulzhan Nurbekova and the chief physician of the MC «Cardiocenter», Ph.D. Gulazia Osmankulova.

The Olympics consisted of 5 competitions. In the first of these («Business Card»), the teams presented self-prepared videos. The second competition was dedicated to the history of the NCTC, including interesting questions on key points in the biography of Academician M. Mirrakhimov. The third consisted of 6 main branches of cardiology: STEMI, NONSTEMI, PE, ECG, Acid-base equilibrium, CHF, and questions were presented for each section according to the level of complexity from 1 to 5. Note that based on the results of the answers to them, the team of residents of KRSU «CARDIOBEAT» demonstrated a high level of training and knowledge of the latest international recommendations of the European Society of Cardiology.

The fourth professional competition featured clinical cases that both teams handled «excellently».

The Olympics ended with the «Captains Competition», held in the form of a blitz poll on the online platform «Kahoot», where, in addition to knowledge, the leaders of the two teams had to demonstrate high speed of thinking.

In general, based on the results of 5 competitions of the Olympiad, residents of the Department of Therapy №2 specialties «General Medicine» KRSU won a landslide victory!

The jury members highly appreciated the level of training of the participants, wishing them further improvement of knowledge and clinical skills. The head of the KRSU team, Associate Professor Zulfiya Rajapova once again demonstrated her high professionalism as an experienced clinical mentor. The teaching staff and 6th year students came to support our residents.

The dean expresses his deep gratitude to the Department of Therapy №2 specialties «General Medicine», its head, Professor I. Sabirovudocents Z. Radzhapova, Zh. Mamasaidov, teachers R. Davuzov, A. Arykova for fruitful work with residents.

But the main thing is – let's say «vivat!» in honor of the winning team, which included residents A. Azimova, D. Murzakanov, Zh. Bekbolotov, M. Abbasova, B. Abduvakhapov, E. Ibraev, B. Ibadulaev, K. Mamedova, M. Sultanova, N. Chubasheva, Ch. Rizaev, E. Abdilazizova and N. Esenbekova.
