Greater Eurasia: dialogue of languages and cultures
June 3 Institute of Russian Language named after. A. Orusbaeva KRSU together with the State Institute of Russian Language named after. A.S. Pushkin, the International Analytical Club «Issyk-Kul – Greater Eurasia» held the International onlineforum «Greater Eurasia: dialogue of languages and cultures» dedicated to the Year of the Russian Language, which is scheduled in the CIS countries for 2023.
The conference was attended by scientists from Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Moldova, officials of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Kyrgyz Republic and the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo.
The purpose of the forum was to discuss important issues:
- ustrengthening humanitarian ties and deepening integration processes between the countries of the post-Soviet space and Greater Eurasia;
- expansion of international interaction in the civilizational space of the Russian language and culture;
- combining the efforts of the scientific and educational community of European and Asian countries in order to preserve and promote the Russian language and Russian culture;
- identifying promising ways of educational, scientific, cultural and socio-humanitarian cooperation;
- discussion and search for effective methods of teaching Russian as a foreign language/non-native language.
The forum developed and formulated the main tasks and areas of activity in this area:
- search for effective solutions and development of recommendations for establishing and strengthening humanitarian cooperation and integration processes between the countries of Greater Eurasia;
- study of the position of the Russian language in the countries of the post-Soviet space and Greater Eurasia and development of proposals to strengthen its position;
- development of an international infrastructure that promotes the development of humanitarian cooperation based on the Russian language;
- formation of the magazine concept «Russian language in Central Asia»;
- intensification and integration of efforts of the scientific and pedagogical community of the countries of Greater Eurasia in the field of educational facilities and methods of teaching the Russian language in the context of digitalization.
A significant moment of the event was the award ceremony for the winners Video essay competition «Letter to the winning soldier: “And we will remember your feat sacredly”», dedicated to the 77th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
In the speech of O. Sumarokova, deputy. Director of the Institute of Russian Language named after. A. Orusbaeva KRSU, as chairman of the competition jury, it was said that the goals of the competition are to promote the education of patriotism, create a sense of belonging to the country’s past and understanding of the present; development and strengthening of cultural ties between generations, the ability to express thoughts and feelings in Russian.
Students took part in the competition 8th, 9th and 10th grades secondary schools, lyceums and colleges of the Kyrgyz Republic with Russian, Kyrgyz and Uzbek languages of instruction.
Participants were awarded diplomas and memorable gifts.
