Happy Archaeologist's Day!

Archaeologist's Day (August 15) – it is an unofficial holiday for researchers revealing the secrets of the past. In honor of this festive event, the historical and archaeological museum of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University opened its doors.

The storage facility contains more than two thousand exhibits. The archaeological collections of the museum are so complete that the exhibition created on their basis reflects the main stages of the ancient and medieval history of Kyrgyzstan. Some items are unique and have no analogues.

The museum has objects that reveal the history of the formation and spread of various religious teachings on the territory of Kyrgyzstan in ancient times and the Middle Ages: Zoroastrianism, Buddhism, Christianity, Islam.

Director of the historical and archaeological museum KRSU, associate professor Vasily Ploskikh notes the importance of archaeology as a science:

– Every little detail is important in the search for historical truth. Extracted from the depths of thousands of years, it can significantly change the established understanding of human history, its origin and development.
