Kyrgyz Language Day was celebrated at KRSU
The natural-technical and economic faculties of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B. Yeltsin solemnly celebrated the Day of the Kyrgyz Language.
The head of the Department of Kyrgyz Language, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor K. A. Biyaliev addressed the participants of the celebration with a welcoming speech. He recalled that the Kyrgyz language, as one of the main foundations of statehood of the Kyrgyz Republic, functions without fail in all spheres of state activity and local self-government in the manner prescribed by the laws of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Students prepared a concert program on the occasion of the significant event, during which they performed songs and poems in the Kyrgyz language, demonstrating their command of the language of the great Manas.
In accordance with paragraph 5.3. Charter KRSU educational activities at the university are carried out in Russian with mandatory teaching of the Kyrgyz language to the extent established by the state standards of the Kyrgyz Republic, for which appropriate conditions are created at the university.
Kyrgyz language and literature – compulsory subject of study at KRSU. It is studied in the first and second years.
The initiator and organizer of the current event was the Department of the Kyrgyz Language, which is carrying out a lot of work within the university to implement the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic «On the State Language of the Kyrgyz Republic».
