Ancestral Remembrance Day: Kurmanjan Datka — a story of courage and love for his people

As part of the events dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of Ancestors, law students got acquainted with the biography of the outstanding Kyrgyz ruler of the 19th century — Kurmanjan Datka.

Kurmanjan Datka has become a symbol of strength, wisdom and unity of the Kyrgyz people. She played a huge role in uniting the southern regions of Kyrgyzstan and protecting the interests of her people, showing perseverance, foresight and devotion to her native land.

During the meeting, students learned about her life path, government activities and the significance of her heritage for the modern history of Kyrgyzstan. Particular attention was paid to how the memory of Kurmanjan Datka is preserved today — through monuments, cultural initiatives, scientific research and festive events held as part of the Day of Remembrance of Ancestors.

Students noted that Kurmanjan Datka's story inspires a new generation — teaches responsibility, resilience and loyalty to their people.
