Denis Fomin-Nilov spoke at parliamentary hearings dedicated to the preservation, protection and development of the Russian language

Acting of the Rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University Denis Fomin-Nilov took part in parliamentary hearings on the topic: «State policy in the field of preservation, protection and development of the Russian language: state, problems and solutions», which were chaired by the Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko.

The head of our university spoke about the current state of the Russian language in Kyrgyzstan.

D. Fomin-Nilov in his speech emphasized that in the Kyrgyz Republic there is an acute shortage of teaching staff, and there is a shortage of teachers capable of teaching in Russian:

–In this regard, on behalf of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov and the Minister of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, a decision was made to create a pedagogical faculty on the basis of KRSU. Russian language teachers will be trained there for Kyrgyz schools. Moreover, teachers are needed who can make sure that students can read, write and speak Russian by the end of their studies. Creating such a faculty from scratch – is not an easy task, so we hope for help from the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, Rosobrnadzor, and Russian state corporations.
