«Landing» of Russian journalists at KRSU
On October 2, a delegation of Russian journalists visited the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. Among them are – representatives of «Channel One», «Russia 1», «Russia-24», «NTV», «Ren-TV», «Russia Today» and other media. The meeting was also attended by employees of TC «MIR», IA «Sputnik», and the AiF newspaper (corporates in Bishkek).
In the foyer of the university on the second floor there were two exhibitions – «Front Roads of People's Deputies» and «I entered the Kyrgyz language on purpose» (on the 130th anniversary of the Soviet Turkologist, lexicographer, author «Kyrgyz-Russian Dictionary» Konstantin Kuzmich Yudakhin) – the vice-rector for information and public relations of KRSU Leonid Sumarokov told the guests about them.
Russian journalists got acquainted with scientific innovations and technical developments of university staff, as well as new books published by the KRSU Publishing House. Of particular interest to journalists were the developments of our scientists introduced into production, including at Russian enterprises. Director of the Institute of Communications and High Technologies Vitaly Kovalenko spoke about the mobile version of computer-aided design of mass explosions in quarries «Blast Maker» (used at mining enterprises in Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan) and the director of the Center for Monitoring High-Rise Dams, Vladimir Dovgan – about the software and hardware complex for monitoring the stability of hydraulic structures under seismic influences (the complex was transferred to the Rostechnadzor commission for possible use at the Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP).
Rector, academician Vladimir Nifadiev and employees of KRSU told the audience about the mission of the university and its students, measures to preserve and promote the Russian language among the younger generation, as well as events and actions dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and implemented by the university this year.
