«To Mars and back»
3rd year student of the Faculty of Law KRSU Begimai Sulkaidarova took part in the International Youth Competition «Horizon-2100» and took 1st place for her science fiction work «To Mars and back» in the section «Future of the Human Habitat».
The work talks about space exploration, high technological progress in the world and the establishment of a new type of travel - space tourism.
It should be noted that the International Competition «Horizon-2100» has so far included experts and participants in forums and various sessions reached more than 2,300 people from 92 countries.
«Horizon-2100» — is a competition of scientific and science fiction works in which young people of any nationality, ethnic group and peoples from different countries present their vision for the future at the turn of the year 2100. The main goal of the competition is – to motivate thinking youth from different countries with an active life position to carry out a creative search for scientific, scientific and practical ideas, hypotheses, science fiction ideas about the distant future; identify and encourage the best young people who are passionate and capable of scientific creativity, analysis and forecasting of the future.
Run Sulkaidarova along with other competition winners from other countries got the opportunity to become a participant in the Forum «Sustainable development by 2100: forecasts, vision, scenarios and plans» where they worked as part of research teams on models for the future.
The forum was held in the Foresight format of sessions, and the participants' forecasts were presented for evaluation before an expert jury. The forum was held simultaneously in Moscow and Cuenca (Ecuador) from February 3 to 6, 2024.
As part of the Forum, participants visited the Flight Control Center at the Central Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering, where they contacted Russian ISS-70 crew members.
The final session of the Forum was held at the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation where the results were summed up, speeches and congratulations were given from members of the jury and experts of the Competition «Horizon 2100».
Diplomas were also awarded to participants there. Among the guests of honor was also the attache of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Russian Federation, Gulbarchyn Bayimbetova, who congratulated KRSU student Begimai on Sulkaidarov’s success at such a large-scale competition!
