An MPGU expert conducted a master class for Russian teachers in Kyrgyzstan

On December 18, as part of a series of events to improve the qualifications of Russian teachers of the Kyrgyz Republic, a master class «Cultural-linguistic shock and ways to overcome it» was held online by Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Head of the Department of Methods of Teaching the Russian Language at the Institute of Philology of the Moscow Pedagogical State University V.D. Yanchenko.

Educational seminar organized by the Institute of Russian Language of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after the first President of the Russian Federation B.N. Yeltsin, brought together more than 90 teachers from different regions of the country.

The master class participants became acquainted with the concept of culture shock, learned about its causes and ways to overcome it. Using numerous striking examples, the lecturer demonstrated the peculiarities of speech interaction between representatives of different cultures and clearly showed how the linguistic picture of the world affects communication. V.D. Yanchenko answered questions from students regarding the methods of teaching Russian as a non-native and foreign language, spoke about new scientific publications in this area and shared his rich teaching experience.

At the end of the meeting, prospects for further cooperation between Moscow State Pedagogical University and the Institute of Russian Language KRSU on the exchange of methodological materials, information about scientific conferences, etc. All participants in the master class received certificates.
