Extravaganza at the Olympiad in Pediatric Dentistry

That students who have chosen dentistry as their specialty are distinguished by special energy, assertiveness, creativity, humor and artistry – many know. In short, «don’t put your finger in your mouth» and «don’t fall for your teeth»!

And those who did not know this could make a discovery for themselves by taking part in the Olympiad in Pediatric Dentistry and the Prevention of Dental Diseases in Children and Adolescents, which took place on December 10 in the large assembly hall of KRSU under the supervision of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry. Students of the 3rd and 5th years – a total of 13 academic groups took part in this intellectual and creative competition.

The Olympics took place in 2 rounds:

1st – testing (in writing);

2nd – creative part.

Each task was assessed by the jury on a 5-point scale. The total total score for all performances was 35 points.

As expected, 3rd and 5th year students not only showed their professional knowledge and skills, but, given that the target audience was children, they showed their original stage ideas, invention, and artistry during the Olympiad!

The honor of opening the educational event fell to the jury members, headed by the head of the department, R. Nuritdinov. The jury, as you might guess, chose the correct uniform, taking into account the temperature in the assembly hall. To warm up the audience, not only ah-ohi, hot palms and hearts were used, but also wonderful children's dances performed by the center's team «Shair-balalyk»!

The main characters of the day were students who presented a wide variety of plots, parodies, skits, costumes and songs for sanitary and hygienic education of the younger generation.

As a result, based on the results of the second stage, the jury determined the winning groups and individual winners of the Olympiad.

3rd year:

Grand Prix – gr. SD-5-20;

1st place – gr. SD-4-20;

2nd place – gr. SD-2-20;

3rd place – gr. SD-3-20.

5th year:

Grand Prix – gr. SD-1-18;

1st place – gr. SD-7-18;

2nd place – gr. SD-5-18;

3rd place – SD-4-18.
