On November 18, a creative evening took place at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University «Voice of the era», which opened a three-day cultural and educational cycle «Russian poets of the new spring». Event organized by Russian house in Bishkek with the participation of KRSU, it became a bright event that united Russian contemporary poetry, original music and live communication with students.
The project brought together those who are looking for meaning and trying to understand how our time is changing. Students, teachers, writers and everyone who cares about culture came to the meeting.
Before the start of the creative evening, project participants, representatives of KRSU and project participants laid flowers at the monument Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin, located at the main entrance to the university.
This gesture became a symbol of the continuity of literary traditions: from the classics — to the present, from the voice of the 19th century — to the voice of today's era.
Head of the Department of Extracurricular Activities of the KRSU Galina Ketovaв, opening the evening, noted that today’s generation of students lives in difficult times, which are especially in dire need of poetic reflection:
«We all know the classics, but the poetic voice never stopped. Today, new lines are written at a difficult time, and that is why they are so important. This is living literature that breathes today».
Head of the Youth Policy Department of KRSU Danila Dyachenko he emphasized the importance of cultural dialogue and noted that KRSU strives to give students the opportunity to meet with prominent representatives of modern culture.
Head of the Russian House in Bishkek Albert Zulharneev he reminded that modern poetry is going through a new stage of demand:
«People are drawn to books and to the living word again. It is important that the poets and musicians who came to Bishkek today know how to speak honestly and deeply about what is happening. This is the search for meaning that unites us all».
He also emphasized that the project «Russian Poets of the New Spring» — is an attempt to give the voice of modern literature a space for dialogue with the listener.
They performed on the KRSU stage that evening
poet and publicist Igor Karaulov,
poetess and philologist Dinara Kerimova,
musician, singer and author of fairy-tale and ethnic programs Natalya Nelyubova.
Each of them presented their own view of modern poetry, culture and the role of the artistic word in difficult times. The guests read poetry, performed original songs and shared stories that reflect the search for meaning, experience and spiritual experience of a person of today's era.
The evening «Voice of the Era» confirmed that the university continues to create an active cultural environment and develop humanitarian cooperation between Russia and Kyrgyzstan.
