Innovation in the field of water resources: Experience and prospects at the FADIS conference

A scientific and practical conference was held at the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Construction, section «Water Resources», bringing together teaching staff and 4th year students.

An important point was the speech of Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Tutor of St. Petersburg Polytechnic University Nikolai Petrovich Lavrov, who shared about the long-standing friendship between the departments of water resources and engineering disciplines. Since 2010, both departments have been actively involved in joint projects, including physical modeling of hydraulic structures in Kyrgyzstan and the Russian Federation, which has generated several successful defended dissertations.

The teachers presented their research on the quality of drinking water, hydrology and the design of hydraulic structures, and the students presented their final qualifying papers, covering a wide range of topics related to real facilities in our country - from the design of Mini-HPPs to modeling irrigation canal systems.
