Iran-Kyrgyzstan: new milestones in cooperation
On February 7, the Head of the Cultural Representative Office at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kyrgyzstan, Mr. Abuzar Toghani, arrived on an official visit to KRSU.
Representatives of the university met with the distinguished guest – rector, academician Vladimir Nifadiev, vice-rector for academic affairs, professor Salavat Usmanov, vice-rector for scientific work, professor Valery Lelevkin, head of the UMS Yulia Kalyuzhnaya, director of the Center for Iranian Studies Malakhat Mamedova.
The topic of conversation was strengthening partnerships in the field of culture and science. In particular, they discussed the exchange of students and teachers between Iranian universities and KRSU, the activation of the Center for Iranian Studies and the involvement of students in studying the Persian language, admitting students, undergraduates, and doctoral students to Iranian universities.
Abuzar Toghani said that the Iranian Embassy in Kyrgyzstan is interested in closer cooperation – in 2023, a course was taken towards academic exchange, building up scientific ties and popularizing Persian culture.
The leaders of KRSU expressed interest in future joint projects aimed at developing relations between Iran and Kyrgyzstan.
At the end of the meeting, Vladimir Nifadiev congratulated Abuzar Togani on the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, which historically occurred on February 11, 1979.
