Quarantine is not an obstacle to your studies!
The Department of International and Constitutional Law of the Faculty of Law KRSU made every effort to ensure that the quarantine was beneficial for students. In addition to conducting classes remotely, interesting events were organized online, which were joined by experts from Kyrgyzstan and neighboring countries.
Positive experience in April – guest lecture by Prize winner F.F. Martens, professor of the Department of International Law at MGIMO V.L. Tolstykh and an online session in English about one of the most prestigious world competitions – Philip Jessup International Law Competition – ensured the successful holding of «remote» events.
May 6, the Department of International and Constitutional Law of the Faculty of Law KRSU and the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic named after Police Major General E.A. Aliyev held an interuniversity scientific and practical video conference on the topic: «The great victory through the eyes of descendants. On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War», at which scientific reports were made by Candidate of Legal Sciences Nasiba Eshmuradova («The influence of the Second World War on the development of IHL norms»), master's student Salimbek kyzy Aigerim («Crimes considered within the framework of small Nuremberg trials»), students Asel Ismailova and Nagima Asanova («Osmon Yakubov –Eternal Hero!»), student Akmaral Madanbekova («Girl Sniper Aliya Maldagulova»).
On 13 May, the Department organized and held a guest lecture on the topic: «Activities of the ICRC to promote International Humanitarian Law», dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The main lecturer was the Legal Adviser of the ICRC Mission in Kyrgyzstan, Aizhan Tilenbaeva. She spoke to second-year students about the areas of ICRC– activities - about work to improve housing conditions, family reunification, about humanitarian diplomacy, about visiting prisoners, about mine action, about ICRC operations in Iraq, Yemen, the Syrian Arab Republic. Students were very interested in the possibility of becoming ICRC staff in the future.
On May 21, a webinar was held, organized by the Regional Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in the Russian Federation, Belarus and Moldova, on the topic: «IHL and new technologies: cyber operations, artificial intelligence and combat robots». Guest speakers were Professor of the Academy of Military Sciences, Director of the Asian Security Project Vadim Kozyulin; lawyer «ENGARDE», specialist in the field of international law and dispute resolution Nikolay Yurlov; lawyer «Aleinikov & Partners», specialist in the field of intellectual property/IT
