Books donated to the university
On December 4, 2020, a representative of the Catholic Church of Kyrgyzstan, Father Remigush Kalski, handed over collections of scientific articles from the international conference «Christianity in Kyrgyzstan to the staff of KRSU. History and modernity», which took place last spring.
KRSU was represented at the meeting by the head of the UNESCO Department for the Study of World Cultures and Religions, Associate Professor Yuri Podkuiko, as well as UMS employees: head of the department Yulia Kalyuzhnaya, head of the department of international relations and analytics Zamira Karabaeva, as well as specialist of the OMSA department Artem Porva.
Some of the books have been sent to the university library, and the rest will be given to experts, organizers and religious studies students of KRSU, who made a great contribution to the commemorative conference.
The collection will be useful to those interested in issues of history and religion of Kyrgyzstan, as well as expert researchers on the history of Christianity in the Kyrgyz Republic for further scientific research.
