For Russian Press Day
January 13 at the television center of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after the first President of the Russian Federation B.N. Yeltsin opened an exhibition of newspapers «Moscow is behind us. 1941» dedicated to Russian Press Day. The basis of the exhibition was newspapers published during the Battle of Moscow, which took place from September 1941 to April 1942 and became the collapse of Hitler’s plan «Barbarossa» to defeat the USSR in 12 weeks. The exhibition includes the newspaper of the 316th Infantry Division «For the Motherland», «Krasnoarmeyskaya Pravda» – newspaper of the Western Front, «Evening Moscow» – newspaper of the Moscow Regional Committee of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) and the Moscow City Council, newspaper «Soviet Kyrgyzstan» – organ of the Central Committee, Frunzensky Regional Committee and City Committee of the Communist Party (Bolsheviks) and the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz SSR. They allow you to convey the atmosphere of the harsh war years. In them you can read reports from the Sovinformburo, materials about the heroism of soldiers and partisans, the labor exploits of workers and collective farmers.
The opening of the exhibition is the first in a series of events that the university plans to hold on the occasion of memorable dates in Russian history – the 80th anniversary of the start of the Great Patriotic War and the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Moscow. Students – participants of the movement «Victory Volunteers» took part in the preparation of the exhibition.
