«The cradle of pediatrics»

27 April in the conference hall of KSMA named after. AND. Akhunbaev held an interuniversity Olympiad among 3rd year students of KSMA and KRSU named after. B. Yeltsin on the propaedeutics of childhood diseases.

Its goal was to develop students' interest in pediatrics and popularize the profession of a pediatrician.

A total of 7 teams participated in the Olympiad, 6 of which represented KSMA, and one of KRSU called «10 Friends of House».

The competition program consisted of 5 stages:

1. Team greeting.

2. Quiz on the platform Kahoot.it (30 questions, including the history of pediatrics, the autobiography of one of the founders of the Kyrgyz pediatric school, Professor T. Pokrovskaya, the semiotics of skin damage, syndromes of damage to the digestive system, physiological reflexes of newborns, pathological types of breathing, instrumental diagnostic methods). The score was given taking into account the speed and correctness of the answers.

3. Practical skills in emergency care (cardiopulmonary resuscitation, crash syndrome, foreign body in the airways, seizures in children).

4. Captains' competition for knowledge of the hemogram.

5. Homework – video on the topic: «Case at a pediatric appointment».

The KRSU «10 Friends of House» team showed decent knowledge at all stages of the Olympiad and eventually took it II a place of honor, and her captain – student gr. PD-3-19 Meerim Zhunusheva was awarded a separate prize as a leader who was not afraid to compete among so many teams from another university and was able to make her one of the winners.
