The KRSU «Natus Vincere» team won the Morphology Olympiad «Medicine without Borders»
On May 19, the International Student Olympiad in Morphology «Medicine without Borders» was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, in which, in addition to the teams KRSU and KSMA, representatives of the Andijan State Medical Institute, Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute, West Kazakhstan Medical University named after Marat Ospanov took part (Aktobe) and Kazakh-Russian Medical University (Almaty).
The initiator of the Olympiad was the Department of Anatomy, Topographic Anatomy and Operational Surgery KRSU.
The international organizers and jury included the dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Professor A. Zarifyan, head. Department of Anatomy and OKHTA, Associate Professor B. Gubanov, Head. Department of Histology, Embryology, Cytology KRSU, Associate Professor O. Kalugina, Professor V. Gabitov, Associate Professor A. Beisembayev and others.
A total of 6 teams of 6 students each took part in the Olympiad.
Our university was represented by a team «Natus Vincere» (Islam Tazhimatov, Firuza Israilova, Bogdan Ryazantsev, Kamila Boobekova, Khadizha Kuramaeva, Anastasia Tankova) under the guidance of Anvar Beisembayev, associate professor of the department of anatomy, topographic anatomy and operative surgery of KRSU.
The event itself took place in the large assembly hall of the main building of KRSU.
The Olympiad was opened with a welcoming speech by the Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs of KRSU, Professor V. Lelevkin.
The Olympiad program consisted of creative and intellectual competitions.
In the first – all student performances («business cards») turned out to be so bright that the jury could not determine the winner and awarded everyone equivalent diplomas.
The intellectual competition consisted of 10 rounds in anatomy and 3 rounds in histology, including practical skills in using microscopes and microscopic preparations.
As a result, the prizes were distributed as follows:
1st place was shared by the teams KRSU and KSMA;
2nd place – teams TashPMI and KRMU;
3rd place – teams of ASMI and ZKMU named after. M. Ospanova.
