The KRSU team will represent Kyrgyzstan at the International Competition named after. F. Martens!
This became possible after our team successfully passed national qualifying round of the competition.
The competition is named after Fyodor Fedorovich Martens, the author «of the Martens Clause», a Russian lawyer and diplomat who formulated one of the fundamental principles of international humanitarian law.
This year, many applications were submitted to the competition from various regions of Russia, as well as from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
When determining the best teams in the qualifying round, the jury took into account knowledge of international humanitarian law, the team’s ability to argue their statements, respond to the situation, as well as creativity in presenting the answer.
Based on the results of the qualifying round, 20 teams that scored the most points were selected in accordance with the criteria specified in the competition regulations.
As a result, the team of the Faculty of Law KRSU (trainer – associate professor of the department of international and constitutional law N. Tursunbaeva; participants (students, undergraduates) – N. Duishenalieva, A. Munarbekova, B. Mambetkaliev) this year will represent Kyrgyzstan at the XXII Competition named after F. Martens on IHL.
