The team of the medical department KRSU won the Cup and 2nd degree diploma at the interuniversity Olympiad in medical parasitology

At the beginning of April, we already talked about how the Olympiad in Medical Parasitology was held at KRSU, organized by our Department of Medical Physics, Informatics, Biology together with teachers of medical biology of KSMA named after. AND TO. Akhunbaeva.

And last Friday, a similar event, only on a solid interuniversity scale, was organized by the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy. This time, 5 teams representing the Kazakh National Medical University competed in its luxurious congress hall. S.D. Asfendiyarov (Almaty), Bukhara State Medical Institute, Faculty of Medicine of Osh State University, Faculty of Medicine KRSU and the organizing university of KSMA.

The highest jury included leading biologists from all 5 universities, chaired by Associate Professor K. Kulzhabaeva

The student competition program was very intense and included 5 competitions:

• a video card that took into account the name of the department, its emblem, uniform, etc.;
• the practical part consisted of microscopy of three micropreparations, each of which contained a question on parasitology. One micro-drug was given 3 minutes to study, and 1 point was given for the correct answer;
• solving situational problems related to different cases of parasitic diseases;
• defining the essence of a silent (unsigned) drawing of 15 that reflect the life cycle of a particular parasite;
• the final part, which included a blitz poll, a puzzle cube, and questions from the teams to each other.

After a stubborn struggle, the jury announced its verdict, according to which the first three places were divided as follows: the leader was the KSMA team, the KRSU team was in 2nd place, and the team from Bukhara closed the top three.

Next, the award procedure for the teams took place, after which they visited the KSMA Museum, and guests from Kyrgyzstan – also visited the Republican Art Museum.

So this time, too, the KRSU doctors did not return to the university empty-handed, having earned a Cup and a diploma II degrees and cash prize.
