KRSU made a gift to the school on the occasion of the anniversary
KRSU congratulated the staff of the Naryn school-gymnasium № 2 named after Valery Chkalov on the 90th anniversary of the educational institution and gave him a gift. Vice-Rector of the university Leonid Sumarokov took part in the bright celebrations on the occasion of the anniversary. Within the walls of the educational institution, he opened an office for Russian language and literature, created with the support of KRSU, and also donated books published by the university publishing house.
«Our university and the Chkalov school have long become partners and friends. There are many school graduates among the university students. They show high academic results, confirming a decent level of schooling. Chkalovites actively participate in all events to strengthen the position of the Russian language in Kyrgyzstan, held by KRSU. The university took all this into account when preparing a gift for the school – stands for the Russian language classroom. We hope that it will become a reliable help for teachers and students in mastering the Russian language», – noted L. Sumarokov, cutting the ribbon at the opening of the office.
The Chkalov school began its chronicle in 1911, when the first Russian-native school opened in Naryn. That year, 11 children sat down at their desks. In 1932, the school became a seven-year school, and in 1937 it switched to a secondary education program. In the same year, Valery Chkalov made his legendary non-stop flight from Moscow to the USA via the North Pole. The subsequent naming of a school in the depths of the Tien Shan after an outstanding Soviet pilot became evidence of its rise in educational activities. Throughout their history, Chkalov teachers have demonstrated a high level of organization of the educational process, allowing school students to go through life with dignity. As film director Zamir Eraliev, a graduate of the school –, said, during his years at school, each student was fluent in Russian and Kyrgyz, which was the pedagogical merit of its director Vladimir Ungefucht, who managed to unite and lead the teaching staff. It is noteworthy that the traditions established in the school over many years still live on. This was noted by the guests of the bright celebrations, who especially emphasized: «Chkalov School – an example of a school in which you want to study».
