KRSU won silver and bronze at the international Olympiad in morphological disciplines

The IV International Olympiad in fundamental and morphological disciplines was held on the basis of the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy (KSMA). Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University presented two teams, both returned with awards.The English-speaking team «Invincible Icons» took 2nd place, the Russian-speaking team «Ingenium» — 3rd place. The scientific director of the teams, head of the department of histology, embryology and cytology of KRSU, candidate of medical sciences, associate professor Olga Kalugina, was also awarded a letter of gratitude for her work on the jury. In the personal competition, KRSU students showed impressive results, winning six prizes:1st place: Nikita Koryakin (LD 1-23) — section «Topographic anatomy»2nd place: Inna Kopytina (LD 8-23) — section «Pathological anatomy»Leria Daragan (LD 13-24) — section «Histology, cytology and embryology»Soham Santosh Patil (LDi 9-25) — section «Histology, cytology and embryology»Plashka Pal (LDi 8-25) — section «Medical Biology»Visal Supekar (LDi 8-24) — section «Biological chemistry»Pathan Moinuddin (LDi 7-24) — section «Normal physiology»3rd place was awarded to all other team members.The Olympiad brought together students of medical and biological study programs from leading universities in the country and neighboring countries. The success of KRSU students confirms the high level of training and competitiveness of the university in the field of fundamental medicine.
