Youth science KRSU at the Patriotic Forum
On September 9, the IX Patriotic Youth Forum took place at the Alexander Nevsky Lavra (St. Petersburg). It was timed to celebrate the 800th anniversary of the birth of St. Alexander Nevsky.
At 8 discussion platforms organized in the museum of the history of the diocese, scientists, public figures and specialists in charge of the field of civic-patriotic education reviewed the best practices of patriotic education, discussed the main scientific problems and global challenges.
The forum was attended by three employees of the department of youth scientific policy, scientific-innovative and international research of the Department of Innovation in Education and Science of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after the first President of the Russian Federation B.N. Yeltsin. They acted as experts and speakers at the section meeting «In a world not without Russia (Modern challenges and terrorist threats of destabilization)». In particular, the report of Doctor of Philosophy D.A. Brusilovsky was devoted to the problems of countering extremism and terrorism in Russia and Central Asia. Leading specialist of the department A.P. Guida shared his opinion on ways to ensure cybersecurity and information security in the era of digital interdependence. Department specialist V.I. Kadygrova focused on issues of scientometrics and science in the digital era.
During the youth training camp, the winners of the final stage of the competition «Relay of Memory – Guard of Honor» were awarded and medals of the Year of Memory and Glory were awarded for participation in the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory.
The head of the St. Petersburg diocesan department for youth affairs, Archpriest Konstantin Golovatsky, read out a greeting from Metropolitan Barsanuphius of St. Petersburg and Ladoga.
«In difficult times of trials, the Russian saint and outstanding figure Prince Alexander Nevsky set an example of courage, inner strength and selfless service to the Motherland ... and now, in relatively peaceful times, we must talk about patriotism so that a society can withstand serious trials can be created», – noted the Bishop in an address to the forum participants.
