The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic held an explanatory meeting on the issues of stay of foreign students

On February 5, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic held a working meeting with the heads of universities in Bishkek, during which current requirements for compliance with migration legislation for foreign students were explained.The information also applies to students of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.According to the current rules, every foreign student is required to constantly have identification and migration status documents with him: a passport or a notarized copy thereof, a valid visa and a registration card. At the request of law enforcement officers, documents must be presented for verification.It is separately emphasized that foreign citizens studying at universities do not have the right to carry out labor activities on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic without the appropriate permit.A prerequisite for stay also remains the presence of valid registration at the place of residence.In case of expulsion, the student is obliged to leave the country and cancel the study visa. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in administrative measures, including deportation and a ban on re-entry.To promptly inform, the university operates a Telegram group for foreign students, where official announcements, contacts of the relevant department and answers to organizational questions are published.The administration recommends that students carefully comply with established migration standards and promptly monitor current legal requirements.
