At the Faculty of Medicine, scholarships were awarded named after Associate Professor Venera Kozhokeeva
The dental community of Kyrgyzstan is well aware of the name of Venera Aitpayevna Kozhokeeva, associate professor, first head of the department of therapeutic dentistry at our university.
To the great grief of all of us, a fatal incident (car accident) interrupted 11 years ago the thread of life of this young, beautiful woman, full of strength and energy – an excellent dentist, teacher, doctor of science in five minutes.
But the image of her, a Teacher with a capital "M", will forever remain in the memory of many colleagues and students. As a sensitive person, full of goodwill, she always tried to help and support students in the process of study, tests and exams. As a wise man, she instilled professionalism and mercy in future doctors – the main medical qualities. How a woman saw in each of her students a son or daughter. As a cheerful and cheerful person, cheerful in any difficult life situations, for many she was a source of support and hope. The light and warmth of her soul still illuminate the lives of those who once studied with her or had the good fortune to work with her.
It is no coincidence that a public organization «Knowledge Without Borders» in 2012 created a Scholarship Fund named after her, the purpose of which is to encourage the best dental students studying at the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy and the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University who have shown special success in their studies, research work, and public life of their universities. Recently, more than 100 students have received a personal scholarship, which is equal to 1000 soms per month and is usually paid at the end of the semester, amounting to a total of 5000 soms.
In September 2014, the First and Second Degree Prizes named after Venera Kozhokeeva – were established in order to increase the prestige of students and residents’ scientific activities in the field of medicine. Moreover, the size of the First Degree Prize is 10,000 soms, the second – 8,000. Thirteen students and residents became laureates of these awards based on the results of scientific conferences.
Last week, the Foundation's leaders visited our faculty to present Foundation scholarships at the end of the 1st semester of 2022/2023 to the top three students.
The lucky holders of certificates and sums of money were: Aida Abdurakhmanova (SD-1-18), Karina Smaga (SD-2-18) and Rufat Alimov (SD-5-20).
