Our students will not be lost anywhere!

A graduate of the Department of Physical Processes of Mining Production KRSU (class of 2020), Nikita Petrov, while still a student, posted his resume on the Internet to find a job in his specialty, and in July 2021 he began working as a geologist at the branch of the mine «Zholymbet» JSC «MMC Kazakhaltyn». He further advanced his career, becoming a geophysicist – and took up core sampling.

On November 10, N. Petrov met with 5th year students. Future graduates of the department asked him many questions, which Nikita answered with high professionalism.

N. Petrov thanked the teachers for their work, emphasizing that the knowledge gained at the university allowed him to become a miner at one of the leading mining enterprises in Kazakhstan. A former student advised fifth-year students not to be afraid to advertise themselves on the Internet. Now N. Petrov works in a modern Kazakh-Bulgarian company «Geops».

Many «pets» of the department of physical processes of mining production are already working in non-CIS countries. For example, a graduate of the EFP-1-11 group, now a mining engineer, Evgeniy Karpenko works at a uranium mining mine in Namibia (South-West Africa).
