Associate Professor of KRSU Elmira Abakirova has passed away
On January 28, Elmira Sharipbekovna Abakirova, associate professor of the Russian language department at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, passed away. Today we remember what kind of person and teacher she was.
Elmira Abakirova’s career began at the age of 24, when she successfully graduated from the Pedagogical Institute of Russian Language and Literature (PIRYAL) with a degree in Russian Language and Literature. She is a teacher of Russian language and literature» and started her professional career as a teacher at the Department of Russian Language PIRYAL. Subsequently, she moved to the position of senior lecturer at the Department of Russian Language at KSUSTA. During her work at PIRYAL and KGUSTA, Elmira Sharipbekovna improved her qualifications by working on a scientific topic «Phraseologisms with the meaning "mental state of the face" in Russian and Kyrgyz languages». Under the scientific supervision of Professor F. Krasnov, Elmira Sharipbekovna successfully defended her PhD thesis (2006), published the Russian-Kyrgyz Synonymous Dictionary of Phraseologisms «Psychological State of the Face» (2009) and in 2010 published a textbook «Aphorisms in the epic trilogy "Manas"» (in co-authorship with colleagues).
Since 2007, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Elmira Abakirova has become an employee of the Russian language department of KRSU. With great passion she taught Russian to students at different faculties. Thanks to her excellent command of Russian and Kyrgyz languages, as well as the methodology of teaching Russian in the national classroom, Elmira Sharipbekovna easily conducted classes in groups with foreign students. Under her leadership, a master's thesis was defended on the comparison of phraseological units in Russian, Kyrgyz and Chinese.
Responsible and responsive, Elmira Sharipbekovna won the respect not only of students and undergraduates, but also of colleagues at various faculties where she taught Russian.
For long, conscientious work, high professionalism, worthy contribution to the development and prosperity of the university, E. Abakirova was awarded a Certificate of Honor KRSU (2018).
Elmira Abakirova has always been a caring mother. She raised a beautiful daughter and four sons and took care of her grandchildren. Until her last days she was active, patiently overcoming difficulties with her health.
Colleagues deeply mourn the untimely departure of E. Abakirova and express condolences to the relatives and friends of Elmira Sharipbekovna. Blessed memory to her!
