New horizons of cooperation: SPbPU and KRSU will develop a roadmap
St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU) will assist in the modernization of two faculties of KRSU - Natural Engineering and the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Construction.
According to the rector of KRSU Denis Fomin-Nilov, now, in the mode of design and analytical sessions, a development plan for KRSU will be developed, projects and events will be formed that will make KRSU a new generation university, and the University 4.0 model will be formed.
This partnership promises significant changes in the educational process: training programs will be significantly modernized and adapted to modern standards. In addition, it is planned to build new infrastructure facilities and laboratories, which will give students access to modern educational resources.
One of the key advantages of this cooperation will be the opportunity for students of these faculties to undergo internships at the best Russian universities, which will significantly expand their professional horizons and experience. It will also provide an opportunity for teachers to improve their qualifications.
As part of the visit of the SPbPU delegation, representatives of the Russian university visited the faculties of KRSU and got acquainted with the current working conditions.
Vice-Rector for Advanced Projects of St. Petersburg Polytechnic University Maria Vrublevskaya emphasized the high potential of KRSU. However, she noted that, unfortunately, students do not show sufficient interest in graduate school, and called for urgent measures to attract industrial partners, as well as to begin work towards government orders to support scientific research.
Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology Nikita Komartsov emphasized one of the global problems - the high age of teachers. He also noted that young professionals do not show sufficient interest in teaching due to expectations of low wages. But these are temporary difficulties that should be resolved in the near future.
The Dean of the ETF also expressed confidence in the quality of education that is provided to students, including the possibility of obtaining double diplomas.
Thus, the cooperation between KRSU and SPbPU represents a significant step towards the modernization of education and the development of scientific research.
