About the psychology of lies at customs control

On April 12, a meeting of 2nd year students of the Faculty of Economics of KRSU with representatives of the Customs Service of the Kyrgyz Republic took place.

Students listened to a lecture on the problems of using profiling in the working conditions of specialized customs services of the Kyrgyz Republic, which was given by the chief inspector of the Customs Service of the Educational Specialized Customs of the State Customs Service under the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic E. Ibragimov.

Economists have learned that with the help of the psychology of lies (profiling), customs officers can identify non-dangerous and potentially dangerous passengers. Customs officers showed a video about how, in practice, specialists using profiling can prevent crime.

The children were introduced to the operation of a web interface containing information about what constitutes a lie, what goals and motives it pursues, external signs of manifestation, etc.; signs of lying, including a detailed description of each of them; passenger profiles with a brief description of each of them and a test based on checking the correct application of theoretical knowledge in practical situations.

In conclusion, customs officers invited students to visit a special nursery where they raise dogs that can detect narcotic substances in things and cargo.
