About religious studies

On December 9, in the conference hall of the main building, representatives of the Center for Religious Studies of Kyrgyzstan at KRSU held a presentation of two years of work for university employees and partner organizations.

From 2018 to 2021, the CRI was actively involved in research activities, the results of which were published on the official website rcrskg.org.

The work was carried out in the following areas:

– «Study of foreign terrorist fighters»;
– «Radicalization online: Analysis of narratives of violent extremism in Central Asia»;
– «Institutional capacities of the CD for the repatriation, rehabilitation and reintegration of women and children».

Educational projects:

– «Unity in diversity»;
– Trainings for lawyers, judges and government agencies.

Assistance in improving the regulatory legal act on freedom of religion:

– Concept of State policy in the religious sphere;
– Draft Law of the Kyrgyz Republic «On freedom of religion and the activities of religious associations in the Kyrgyz Republic».

In the future, the Center for Contemporary Art aims to create an analytical platform for studying the religious situation in Kyrgyzstan and beyond. For this purpose, it is planned to carry out work to increase the expert potential of the Center’s employees, partners and friends.

Currently, work is underway to fill the official website of the Center for Contemporary Art, where those interested can find electronic versions of studies, reference books, analytical notes, communication strategies and collections of articles.
