Letter from the Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic

Dear colleagues! Dear teachers and employees of educational organizations!

On the eve of the new school year, I would like to address you, say warm words of support, and share my innermost thoughts.

Every year we teachers look forward to meeting our students, just as they want to see classmates, friends, teachers, and rejoice when the walls of the school are again filled with children's laughter.

But the time has come when the safety and health of children is a priority all over the world, so we were forced to switch to distance learning.

At the same time, a special decision was made – to preserve the tradition, and in real mode to give first-graders that very first school day, which they will carry with an unforgettable memory throughout their lives, – Knowledge Day on September 1.

The pandemic changed the usual rhythm of life, changed the vectors of movement and philosophy of people.

These difficult days affected every family. Science and education have lost outstanding figures who devoted their lives to the profession «teacher». Let me pay tribute to the blessed memory of our colleagues who passed away prematurely and express my condolences to their families and loved ones.

Their services to the Fatherland and their people will forever remain in our memory, biographical books will be published that will preserve for the next generations memories of their contribution to the development of the country.

On the principles of humanity, wisdom, and steadfastness, overcoming the trials that have befallen us, we learn to value human life even more, support and inspire each other, and strengthen our spiritual energy.

And it is our duty – to consciously study the situation, find the right way out of any contradictions, to show the way to our people.

We must, no matter what, strive to develop the abilities of every child, give him the necessary knowledge and a decent upbringing. But at the same time, we must not forget about the high responsibility for the health of our children.

Today, not only students, but also their parents and society as a whole have high hopes for us, teachers. Therefore, we must together look for new ways and opportunities to increase efficiency and improve education. We are obliged to maintain the high title «Teacher», which is always associated with such concepts as dedication and professional responsibility.

Dear teachers! Your professional qualities, personal merits, pedagogical skill, intellectual potential, and true humanity help you remain unshakable in any situation.

I especially urge you to work closely with the parent community in the process of educating and raising children. Only the triad «parents – teacher – society» is capable of forming a socially useful personality.

They say: «As it is in the nest, so it is in flight!». Therefore, I urge parents to be constantly in touch with teachers.

I also appeal to local authorities for help in creating the necessary conditions for organizing training. After all, educated, competent youth are the basis for the development of regions.

Our main value is – human capital. By investing in children's education, we invest in our future. In this regard, I would like to thank the heads of local governments who support schools, and I ask you to continue to provide assistance in providing students with means for distance learning: televisions, smartphones, Internet access.

Dear colleagues! I sincerely thank you for your work, the outstanding efforts shown in the fourth quarter of the past academic year.

A good deed returns a hundredfold. Soon we will return to normal, ordinary life, the traditional format of education. Each of us must make efforts to bring this day closer, help children comply with sanitary and hygienic standards, and instill a culture of a healthy lifestyle.

Dear colleagues! I am proud of you and believe in your strong support and inner potential in digital education issues.

Thanks to teachers, our society is stable, life is filled with meaning, and the future is seen as bright.

I wish you inexhaustible energy, good health, prosperity, new research and self-improvement in the new academic year!
