Letter of Victory

On the eve of the celebration of Defender of the Fatherland Day, students of the Faculty of Law of KRSU, members of the movement «Victory Volunteers», began an action «Letter of Victory». During the event, activists will present letters they wrote to veterans of the Great Patriotic War and talk about the unknown exploits of front-line soldiers.

The first recipient of the letter was a resident of Bishkek, Dzhavdat Fatykhovich Yalyshev. On January 2, 1944, in the battle for the city of Novograd-Volynsky, sergeant of the 111th Tank Brigade Yalyshev killed 9 fascists. The fighter, who was only 19 years old, was awarded a medal «For Courage». The story about the hero will be published in the next issue of the newspaper «Student Review». The guys presented the veteran with their letter and modest gifts and expressed respect for his feat of arms. KRSU students became participants in the «Victory Volunteers» movement at the call of their hearts. They are all united by the desire to preserve the memory of the generation of winners, to do everything possible to support living veterans of the Great Patriotic War. The leader of the movement «Victory Volunteers» in KRSU is a candidate of legal sciences, granddaughter of front-line soldier Nasib Eshmuradov.
