The results of the competition have been summed up «Favorite books familiar pages»
From April 2 to April 21, 2021, a presentation competition «Favorite books familiar to the village» was held remotely, organized by the Russian Language Institute of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after the first President of the Russian Federation B.N. Yeltsin for students in grades 7-11 of schools in the Kyrgyz Republic with Russian and Kyrgyz languages of instruction.
The competition, dedicated to World Book and Copyright Day, was aimed at providing a platform for young book lovers so that they could talk about their favorite works that inspire them to become better and open the way to life.
In a modern electronic format, the children presented in presentations their vision and understanding of the depths of literary masterpieces, rediscovering Russian and world classics. It is gratifying to note that the overall literacy rate of work was mostly above average.
Along with knowledge of the Russian language and the ability to analyze works of literature, it was necessary to demonstrate skills in working with the MS Office Power Point computer program used to make presentations, as well as email.
Despite the difficulties caused by the pandemic, the competition received more than 100 works performed by students of secondary schools in the cities of Bishkek, Osh, Naryn, Kara-Balta, Tash-Kumyr, Kyzyl-Kiya, Mailuu-Suu, Kadamzhai, villages of Chui, Issyk-Kul, Nyryn, Batken regions.
By participating in the intellectual competition, the contestants showed a great desire to get acquainted with works of literature not in a brief retelling, but by thoughtfully reading paragraphs and lines of their favorite books. The presentations were accompanied by rich illustrative material that captivatingly explored various topics. The competition was clear evidence that today, as before, it is the masters of words who created and continue to create the golden fund of world literature that are most interesting to the younger generation.
The Institute of Russian Language KRSU congratulates all participants on the successful completion of the competition and expresses gratitude to the teachers of Russian language and literature who supervised the preparation of the competition works.
Certificates and diplomas in electronic format will be sent to competition participants by May 15, 2021.
